yes, every time when a card arrives, kids are so excited, so happy! It's so much better than emails, traditional post cards and letters have a kind of magic, I think. Everybody can touch cards, read what's on them. My pupils just want to have a card in their hand for a while and then they feel this card is really for them.
You are right, Kasia. Maybe, in our technological and globalized society, the return to "analogic" actions is sometimes more interesting and heartwarming.
