National read to eachother week in Holland

Grandparents get involved in the classroom

Every january the national read to eachother weeks are held in the Netherlands. At our school we like to involve the grandparents and parents of the children. They come into school to read for the children.

  1. This is a great initiative; aged persons can give a lot of experiences and nice things to we all. And this is a real way to work about age equality. Congrats, dutch friends!

  2. Great idea, indded! We have almost the same in our school. It is called "Winter afternoon reading". Kids love it, I'll share some photos from this even too. Greetings fro Dutch wonderful pupils!!!!
